GEORGIA INPATIENT DETOX: THE FIRST STEP
TOWARD RECOVERY
Detox, also known as withdrawal management, is an essential step on the road to recovery. The use of drugs or alcohol leads to harmful toxins building up in the body. Detoxification removes those substances, preparing patients physically and psychologically for the next phase of treatment.
Bluff offers medically supervised subacute detoxification for drugs and alcohol at our serene residential treatment center outside Augusta, GA. We provide nutritious meals prepared by our on-site chef, a peaceful setting and expert staff to ensure our inpatient detox patients feel safe, comfortable and supported.
Our multidisciplinary team is compassionate about substance abuse detox and rehabilitation. We serve each of our inpatient detox clients with the highest quality patient care and attention to ensure a full recovery and a more fulfilling life.
The Importance of Medically-Supervised Detox
Breaking free of substance use can be dangerous for some individuals if not supervised by experienced staff. When people attempt to detox from alcohol and drugs on their own, or if detox is conducted improperly, there can be serious consequences including seizures and death. Medically-supervised detox is strongly recommended for alcohol, opiate or benzodiazepine withdrawal.
At Bluff’s detox centers in Georgia, alcohol and drug detox is administered and monitored by expert addiction professionals. Patients also receive individualized care from 24-hour nursing staff and daily support from psychiatric providers, therapists and counselors. We use evidence-based medicine in accordance with guidelines from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), the Substance Use and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
